Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Tempo, a Mac menu bar app that logs work sessions to Google Calendar. By downloading or using Tempo, you agree to these terms.
1. Use of the app
Tempo is provided free of charge as a personal productivity tool. You may use it for personal or professional time tracking. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems connected to the app
2. Google account and permissions
Tempo requires you to sign in with a Google account and grant access to your Google Calendar. By doing so, you authorise Tempo to create calendar events on your behalf using the calendar.events scope. Tempo does not read, modify, or delete your existing calendar events.
You can revoke Tempo's access to your Google account at any time via Google Account Permissions or from the Settings screen inside the app.
3. Data and privacy
Your use of Tempo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data is collected and how it is used. Tempo's use of data from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. No warranty
Tempo is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. There is no guarantee that the app will be available, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use it at your own risk.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of Tempo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any loss of data.
6. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
