Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

Tempo is a Mac menu bar app that logs your work sessions to Google Calendar. It was built as a passion project — if you have feedback, thoughts, or ideas, I'd genuinely love to hear from you at sulakshanasurya@gmail.com.

This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

1. What we collect

2. What we do not collect

3. Google Calendar API usage

Tempo requests only the calendar.events scope to create calendar events on your behalf. The app uses this permission solely to write new session events — it does not read, modify, or delete any of your existing calendar events.

Tempo's use of data received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the core app functionality described in this policy.

4. Data storage

Your OAuth tokens and email are stored locally on your device. Your download email is stored securely in our Supabase database and is used only to keep a record of downloads. We will never send you unsolicited emails.

5. Deleting your data

You can disconnect your Google account at any time from the Settings screen inside Tempo. This permanently deletes your stored OAuth tokens and email from your device. To request deletion of your download record from our database, email sulakshanasurya@gmail.com.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
